Screaming Fat.

Yes. We have and need some fantasies as we are working out.

I really want to hear fat and calories scream as they are burned and destroyed.

This one of the things that I think about on my daily 4.5 mile walk.

Live And Learn

when you succeedWe can not earn or learn

unless we are living and trying new

things and working on life.

The process of loosing weight

teaches us how our bodies work

we learn of what works and what

does not and by learning we

can adjust and grow.

Our failures teach us about our

shortcomings but also about our

strengths and values.

It sucks.. It really suck when we fail

at anything. I hate to lose or fail

but those experiences have done

more for my growth than most other

experiences.

Never learn to lose but never be afraid

to try something new, something

different.

Be brave and remain focus.

Simple Rules.

4 simplel rulesWhile nothing in weight loss is simple even with Weight Loss Surgery

it does not help when we make things overly complicated.

In trying to explain to my Coach what my system is in selecting

my food items she promptly noticed and shared with me areas

where I might be over complicating my efforts.

Yes we want to have exact portions but a close enough

portion when eating out is good enough and we know based

on our prior experience what is a proper portion.

Exercise or activity is easy enough to track and now with all the

technological possibilities when our phone can as easily count our

steps and calories burned there is no reason not to have a rather

accurate idea of where we are at the end of the day.

Tracking is also possible with a multitude of free apps for both

android and iPhone products.

Since my next big challenge is tracking I am going back to using

the form I had developed and should it be of help to anyone else

I am giving it for free to you at the end of this post.

Please take a look at it and see if you can find a way to improve

on it I am no spread sheet genius so you will not offend me if

you can help me make it a better one.

My Coach keeps telling me that if I do not record it it din’t happen.

Changes…

Small Changes

Trying to make a big impact in life

by making large changes or doing

big thing is doable but hard.

Changes in small manageable

sizes are easier and by default

more likely to stick to.

I obviously do not know you

so just do what works for you

and continue to make progress.

BUT

If you are not getting the results that

you want maybe just maybe

try simplifying your action items.

Of course we here talk Weight Loss

but the same simplification process

works for relationships, business,

and any endeavour of interest to you.

My Challenge.

new lap band picAs some of you know I have been dealing with a dislodged

band for quite a bit of time.

I have tried to work around the challenge that this is but I know

that having the ability to eat with out the limiting that the band

provides has been key to my weight re-gain.

Part of my process now is to go back to eating the smaller

portions as the program delineates but it is here where I can feel

the difference that the band makes. A portion that would have made

me feel full with the band properly attached does not have the same

effect without it. I end up feeling hungry and not satisfied wanting

more to eat.

This post is just to advise you that not following the guidelines can

create a situation where you lose all the benefits of the band.

That extra portion or those carbonated beverages are just not

worth it. I know I am living with it.

Goals. When do you work on your yearly goals? There is no wrong answer for this UNLESS you don't write your yearly goals. Everyone has a different way or process to develop and evaluate your plans and goals.  I now am trying a new approach and it is to have my goals for the next year ready by the 15th of November well before the busy days of the holidays and end of year.
