Happy Father’s Day.
Culturally Father’s Day is not as big a deal as Mother’s Day is.
I am not saying it is right or wrong but I know that for me Father’s Day
is one of the three most important holidays.
Crazy as it might sound I always wanted to be a father and have a family to call my own.
I dreamed of having a son and God blessed me with my son Daniel
And it is he whom I Love more than anything and everything in life.
I am proud to say that I was part of all his milestones from the little plays
in school to his Karate tests to his several graduations and very important to me
his Christmases. My son and I loved Christmas so very much.
I was there every time from his first one back in 1989 to the last one back in 2012.
Then our lives changed but not our love for Christmas. We had a difficult one when my mom
passed on a very sad and game changing 24th of December.
In my life because of so many different reasons I have been in relationships that have afforded
me the opportunity to have the role of Step-father. Crazy how the relationships came and went
but my love, respect and memories of the children of those persons remain.
I today want to send a heart-felt THANKS to this ladies who allowed me the chance to grow
in the role that I most loved and it is that of a Father.
I love and have fond memories of all of them and today in particular I hope and pray that they
and their mothers are doing well.
JJ, Alison, Amanda, Zane, Nigel, Gaby, Logan, Riley, Olga, Mara and my baby boy Levi.
Lots of love to you all and in thinking and remembering., I have a special place
for my daughter Emma. She is my oldest and the one of my two kids who did not grow up
with me physically but always in my mind and heart. Emma was born on May the 13th back in 1986.
I missed so much of her life and not a day goes by that I do not think of her and pray for her
to be happy and healthy. I hope it is in God’s plans that our paths will join in the future.
In closing I wish all fathers a great father’s day and hope that Heavenly Father will always bless
you with the love and respect of your children.
To all of this kids all I can say is I Love You and there is nothing you can do about it.
