What We Want To Be.

Weight loss is so much more than the way we look., it is also the way we feel and the way that we are perceived not just by others but by us as well.
We each have an idea an image of who we are and what we look like under the perfect circumstances but, we know that the perfect circumstances are seldom present.
Does that means that we settle or that we give up? No! it means that we continue to work at it and maintain the goal and the dream alive. We do this with our daily work and the image ever-present in our minds and hearts.
We fight with the tools and weapons that we each have at our disposal. We use the fork at the table and our legs in our walks. Exercise and diet. Patience and understanding. We use the knowledge that others have and so freely give to us by reading and acting on what other bloggers share.
I am so grateful to all of you that read what I write and the blogs that I follow. It reminds me that I am not alone and that in the end and in different ways we are not alone. We are all in this together.
I wish we could track the pounds that we are all loosing. Pound by pound we are making an ever-increasing dent on the mountain of pounds in front of us.
I thank you and wish all the success that our hard work deserves.
We are doing it.
Keep up the good work and throw yourself at it. Today. Tomorrow. Always.

Back To Basics.

Going back to basics is very much

needed and we shall pay attention

to those basics we are missing.

For those of us with WLS weight

loss surgery the basics are made clear

before we get our surgery.

Drink the water. Take you meds.

Drink the water. Chew twice as much

Take your vitamins.

We know this things and yet many

of us if we are honest know that we

fall short in one or more of this

basics.

Gang we must stay focused if

we want to be successful.

On Goals.

Set a goalI believe in setting Goals.

Big, Hairy, Scary, Meaningful GOALS.

I want the best for me but I also want the best for you all.

I hope you all had a chance to set goals for

this new year 2018. Use them as your road map.

Push yourself to the max and grow.

Again., it does not have to be about just one thing.

It can be about anything you are not satisfied with.

If it is money good, if it is weight loss good,

If it is education great, If it is better things great,

Know that if you are not satisfied it is a good sign.

Go Get what you want.

Get after it and make it happen.

I hope you will indulge me as I use the next few days

and posts on GOALS.

I truly consider it that important.

Enjoying The Process.

keep cookingI had a visit with my Coach.

She pissed me off by being right once again.

She reminded me of the part I took in re-gaining almost

a hundred pounds yes that is 100 pounds.

She tells me “you did not just trip and fell a top 100 pounds worth

of fat and food., it was an active choice of putting in your mouth.,

more food than you should have.”

“It was not something that happened in a day or two so stick to

the program day in and day out and you will see the progress”

She is right and I know it I am just not the most patient of guys

and I hate being told what to do (I am sure I am the only one.).

But the fact remains that with her help I have already

lost several pounds and did it faster.

She is helping me reconnect with my passion for cooking and

using better techniques and better ingredients that will in the

long run help me maintain my weight loss.

bad workout

It is Friday.

As you look at the week that is ending today

how do you feel? Did you drink the water? Did you take your vitamins?

Did you go for your walk or run? Did you do your workout?

Did you measured your portions?

If you did GREAT!  But if you didn’t no sweat

We get to start today and do better…. You know the drill

Measure you portions, drink the water, stay active, workout,

take your meds and vitamins,

STAY FOCUSED REMAIN FOCUSED

Why? Because you deserve it.

Now drop and give me twenty!!!!!

Just kidding 🙂
