When I go for my walks I try to take a camera

or my galaxy-6 which has the best camera for

a phone I have ever had.

Going for walks I have made about more than

just the exercise. A lot I do is set around me

getting my walks, and finding appropriate places

to eat but regardless; I keep low carb snacks in

my camera bag.

A lot to ensure weight loss is proper planning.

Having a plan for where to eat. Having a plan for

when there is nothing appropriate to eat.

When I know I will be gone for hours I pack snacks,

and my green juice which I make fresh on my

super-duper juicer my wife got me as a gift.

I think she got tired of the noisy old one.

It is hard to lose the weight specially when

we get to a certain age (I am 52), so I try not

to destroy my efforts by eating 1000 calories

when it took me 1.5 hours to burn 600.

Gang find a powerful why and then plan on

an amazing how when it comes to your walks

or going to the gym.

Stay focus remain successful.

Commitments

Someone told me once:

“You talk about always doing your walks

as if it was the easiest thing to do. It is

not always easy or practical you know.”

I took this picture on one of my walks

in Espanola, NM. The temperature was

below zero but I still went for my walk.

This does not make me better than anyone

else but it does makes me more committed

to my goals. There are times when I can not

go for my walk for a variety of reasons.

Tomorrow for example due to family

challenges I will not be able to go for my walk

and that is ok. I do not kick myself for it, and

instead I will be over careful with what I will

eat and drink.

I do not believe that we should be slaves to

our schedules but I firmly believe that we

must honor our commitments.

In the end, we can only do the best we can do.

Gang keep your goals and plans ever-present.

Walking and life lessons.

In the middle of the desert between the I-10 and

the I-8 there sits the testing grounds for the military.

This was a great walk and an amazing opportunity

for a class for my kids whom I was home schooling

at the time. It was great to teach them hands on

about physics, projectile trajectory and also about

patriotism. Yes.. I consider myself a patriot even

though I was actually born in Mexico.

There is so much to be proud and grateful in this

my adopted country.

I wish those of us in the US could learn how to care

more for the country and a little less about our

own and very personal political views be them what

they might be.

Gang keep looking forward and pushing for your

dreams and goals.

I need to travel.

Even though I go on short trips

today I find myself longing for a

long trip. Many miles, many days.

This picture of me was taken somewhere

in historic Charleston, SC.

Great weather, great food, good drinks.

Our lives are about more than just work or

paying the bills or losing the weight.

Life is about living it some.

This photo safari had me walking several

miles and taking many pictures.

Great times, great memories.

Go out and make some memories of

your own. Put some miles under your feet

and eat some amazing meals.

If you have a significant other just imagine

the impact this could have in your relationship.

Keep moving, doing and experiencing more.

3 choices

How often do we re set our goals and expectations?
Our goals must be clear and concise so that as we work with the end in mind the image is clear and inspiring.
But it must also be flexible so we can adjust as our expectations may at times fall short. Inspiration, frustration, desire, etc., will at time make us over reach., we don’t give up or change our goal but in order to continue we adjust. Maybe we change our workout schedule, maybe we adjust our walk distance, maybe we switch our work out days, etc., we adjust but we do not abandon our goals. We don’t abandon our dreams. We don’t abandon Us.

What Is Progress???

GOALS.
I think that we can all agree how important goals are and how important it is to have an end in mind.
The problem comes when we get so caught in making a goal that we forget about progress.
Yes., we might be intent and committed to a loss of 10 pounds per month but hey 2, 5 or 7 pounds lost IS progress. It is movement in the right direction and we must celebrate because we are wining.
We want the big win. We want the glory of meeting the goal and sometimes we get frustrated when it doesn’t happen. Hey progress is progress and we must acknowledge and celebrate it. AND more important we must use it to keep us on task. progress
