As we end yet another year it will do us good

to realize the power we have to make those

decisions that can and will make a big and

durable impact in our lives.

I know that I can not ressist oriental noodles

so I avoid the opportunity to go to battle over

them with myself., why? because I loose every

single time. I know that the smell of freshly

baked bread will always, always abring me

to my knees so I avoid bakeries and walmart

at certain times.

I also know that drinking my green smoothie

will always help me keep to my diet so I drink it.

Same with you. Figure out what defeats you efforts

but also what provides inspiration to keep your

diet and stay within you boundaries.

We must be aware in order to be successful.

Pay attention and win more consistently.

We choose the best foods and

we plan our workout sessions.

We decide the best way to accomplish

our goals in weight loss BUT…

At times we forget that we must also

choose those around us.

To keep away people who do not believe

and support our efforts should be

a central part of our daily routine.

Not you, me, anyone should underestimate

the effect of negativity in our lives.

Why drag behind us those that fail to

be of support. Why add more effort to

something that is so central to our

well-being.

Make the hard decisions as soon as you can

and see how much easier things become.

while life is not easy it does not

need to be complicated.

Put your priorities straight and

attack with a plan.

You want to know how simple

loosing weight is??? Well here it is:

eat less but better quality foods.

Drink at a minimum 8 glasses of water.

Increase your activity by at least 50%.

Sleep no less than 8 hours.

Did you notice that I said simple and not easy

when talking about weight loss??

That is because we have so many habits

ingrained in our minds and that is the part

that I find to be the most difficult.

Specially the not eating of delicious processed

and fast food items. Drinking a gigantor soda.

smoking, not sleeping enough, etc, etc.,

You know the drill. Both you and me have the

same monster to contend with.

So the question is:

Are we worth it and can we make a committment?

Can’t answer for you but I sure am working on it.

Gang make a difference for you and yours and

take the plunge of health and a better life.

On Life And Walks.

Where have your walks taken you lately???

This is a bridge across the Colorado River.

One side is California the other is Arizona.

A great walk and some good pictures.

Remember there is no rule against you

enjoying your walk and finding things to

admire and commit to memory.

Enjoy the process and enjoy the benefits.

Adding Activity

Spend the day walking through the

maze that is below decks and you got

yourself a workout.

So much to see and so much to do

and the thing is that all of this does not

have to interfere with our daily routine,

Park a little bit farther at the mall.

Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Walk a little bit faster and if you are

going on an outing where maybe you will

not find healthy or adequate food and

snack choices well pack a meal or a snack

or whatever will keep you going.

My secret stash in my camera bag is:

Roasted peanuts, Raw almonds, and beef

jerky. On a day long outing I throw a couple

of low carb shakes and maybe a couple of

hard-boiled eggs in the ice chest.

All of this are simple, easy things to do.
