Yes We Can.

My Choices

Why is it that we trust “Tomorrow” so very much?

Not a single day is guaranteed to us but continue

to trust, and leave for tomorrow that which we

should absolutely take care of today.

Every day wasted. Every day we put the diet, water,

medicine, exercise, and so much more will never be

given back. It is past and wasted.

It is our decisions that will make a difference.

If we want health and a better quality of life, then

we must pay the price. Take the medicine, drink the water,

exercise at least three times a week, walk as much as you can.

Do it all, do some, do something, and see the results.

It is within all of us. It is real, and it is possible.

Let us go out every day and try to be more, better.

Wishing each and everyone an amaZing always.

Stay focus remain successful.

On Changes.

diaper dietWE are the only ones that can truly impact our diet.

It requires change and a bit of desire.

If you had WLS you know you have made the investment

already, so why not use the tool you purchased?

Follow the guidelines, drink the water, measure the food,

take your meds, and make sure you are taking your vitamins.

Not rocket science even though at times it feels like it.

And, if you add activity and exercise you just turbo-charged

the program. so hang on and keep rocking it.

Wasted Time And Effort.

ddd08952d7fefe11737a91daebc048d1

Because I am human I have been imperfect.

There came a time when I painfully learned that.

Yes… I never thought I was wrong or at fault. Ever.

The process of living and learning impacted simultaneously

my personal, professional, physical, and social life.

After many mistakes, and even more falls and stumbles

I feel I have made some even if small progress.

One of the things I have worked diligently on; is the

development of exercise and activity routines that

“Work For Me”.  As soon as I ascertain this all kind

of experts, critics, and caring by-standers began to

attack and criticize. I have ignored them as when

I followed my routines there is always progress.

I guess what I am trying to tell you all is that you

should pay attention to the things that work for you,

and continue to use them in as long as you make

progress.  Do not be blind to expert advise but no one

knows you better than you.

Keep your goals and dreams ever-present and

you will accomplish what you desire.

Stay focus and remain successful.

California In My Mind

dsc_0043

I have been feeling itchy feet the past couple of weeks.

Even though I am currently traveling I feel like it is not

far enough, interesting enough, good enough.

I miss California today. It is there where I can have

good Mexican food for breakfast and pick up sushi, good,

good sushi at the grocery store and then later hit the Pho

joint for dinner.

I am in a part of the country where the flavors and the traditions

are supposed to be great but I still find the food wanting.

Hot, Spicy regardless is no great achievement. (sorry)

While we have found great people in our travels food is still

below what I have found in rural areas of Mexico, Guatemala

OR Belize. Traveling through New Mexico has been challenging

for my food writing. While I have tried many a restaurant that

the locals recommend I have found ONE item I truly liked.

I am sure it is ME where the problem is and all the food is

“just amazing.”

Gang if you have a chance to get out-of-town DO IT.

Step outside and see what you can find. What you have been missing.

It is always a good thing to go out searching and exploring.

Even bad experiences are worth it in the big scheme of things.

And while you are out there keep your eyes open and see if

you can find someone to help.

Give a hand, Give a coin, Give someone

a bite to eat. Don’t wait to be asked.

True Friends.

7bbe707f2746be9e048755dad3322cf2

I am lucky. I have two friends.

Why do I say I am lucky?? Weeelllll

Most people have no friends. Yes we all have

acquaintances, and co workers or just buds

but true and real friends are not so common.

I used to have three but my father in law passed.

I have many who call themselves friends but

I know better.  Want friends? Learn to be one

and should you ever earn and get a friend make

sure you continuously feed that relationship.

Friendship is a two-way street. Never Forget That.

Darryl and Daniel I love you guys.

The rest………… Well……………..

Thinking Of You.

Who can we depend on?

Who would be there to help?

Who would stand to be counted?

Who would be a friend? a lover?

a faithful companion?

Many questions but my answer,

based on so much experience is:

I can count on myself.

I will make it count!

It is not that we always make the

correct decisions but more that

we continue on our journey.

We said we would exercise DO IT.

We said we would eat right DO IT.

We committed to our meds DO IT.

We committed to drinking the water

and being more active and going the

extra mile now we must DO IT.

Simple and easy to do but also, simple

and easy not to do.

Let us not be common. Let us be

different and go for great.

We, Us, our families are worth it.

Stay focus stay successful.
