I am just posting this for my own pleasure.
I hope you too have something that makes you
feel good just by looking at it.
Adele is what does it for me. I can listen to her songs
for hours. Truly enjoyed her performance at
The Royal Albert Hall. Amazing.
Anyway gang let’s get together again tomorrow.
Keep smiling and looking for what will make you happy.
Jose G. Osuna
Yes it does.
The thing is that we, many a time keep around us people who
have no business being there. People who fulfilled their
role in our lives, and who now should be on to other things.
But NO we insist on collecting people.
Gang life is a continually moving target and in order to
even try to keep up we must be ever alert to it.
We must be in constant guard with the three A’s of
Bushido in mind: Alert, Assess and Act.
Alert to what is around us.
Assess what is around us.
Act based on what is around us.
The act part is what gives most the hardest time.
We know what to do or what not to do but we many a time
choose with our inactivity.
We want it so now we must learn how to go after it.
We must learn how to remove obstacles even if they have a pulse.
It is our life, lets live it to its fullest.
Gang Stay Focus Stay successful.

I love and enjoy photography.
Reading the message in the photo made me
think of taking photos with film, we get one chance
and we best not waste it because it is gone.
In some ways it is the same with life, opportunities
and adventure come and if we are not aware
the chance is gone.
Weight loss is also like that. We make many
small decisions and if we are not aware it is easy
to mess up. My mother told me many a time:
“Nothing is as easy as being mediocre”
I ask you not to be mediocre. I hope my efforts
keep me from being mediocre.
Gang. Stay focus and remain successful.

Give us a follow for more on the day to day living.
Truly, on this one there are two and only two pains.
Which one will you choose? Which one will I choose?
Life is intent on providing us with choices, and what we do with them
is up to us as individuals.
I know and know that I know I want more and better, but
at times I too have lost the battle to the blankets,
dessert was too pretty to pass and…… Here we are or
should I say here I am.
I am constantly making progress but at times that weak
little boy within me wants to rebel and do sh…. stuff he is
not supposed to.
Anyway gang when that happens we must immediately re commit
to our goals and get back in step with things.
Gang Stay Focus Stay Successful.
Jose G. Osuna
Share the love gang share on Facebook or your favorite
social media system. Much appreciated.
We all have moments of doubt. Moments of fear.
It is when we move past those moments when the real progress happens.
It is past the doubts that we actually find certainty.
Do not let fear of doubts keep you from achieving what you were meant to do.

What is hot? What is fast?
What is stylish? What is the it thing?
The answer is: It depends.
The same thing happens when it comes
to us. To diet, weight loss, appearance, etc.
It is about what is right for US. What is
appropriate and adequate for us.
Don’t let the flashy or trendy affect the process
you have delineated for yourself.
Keep it up and have an impact on your world.

This is the picture that my DNA paints.
I have to say it is nothing like I was expecting
based on what my family shared. Not good or bad
just unexpected.
This picture as extensive in time and depth is
but a tiny part of what me, you, us are.
The day to day life we construct tells more
about us than any DNA test could. What is the
fiber of our character, what are the values we
live-by, how important family and friends are.
And there is so much more. Here we talk about
weight loss and health a lot but at the same time
I make it a point to acknowledge life and living.
Regardless of where we came from the fact remains
that we are trying to effect change and by making
better choices we might live longer, healthier lives.
Gang, stay focus and remain successful.
Jose G. Osuna
All things being equal doesn’t it makes sense to dream big?
It takes the same effort to dream crap than to dream championship.
Like my good friend tells me: “when it comes to the good in life
I want more., I always want more”
I guess I agree. I want more life, I want more health, I want more wealth.
I want to lose more weight, I want to feel much better.
I am ready to put my best effort to accomplish it as I know nothing
worthwhile is free.
How big are your dreams? How great your hopes.
It is up to us gang.
Let’s Go Do It.
Jose G. Osuna
Exercise., It does a body GOOD.
We all know it so now let’s go do it.
Jose G. Osuna
There is so much in life. There is more than just seeing others live theirs.
I see this pic and it makes me smile as I see two of the things that I
actually have a passion for in life. A nice good watch and a great camera.
Lately, I have made so much of my life about my health and
weight loss. Because of my extreme circumstances I have had to
put lots of living on the back burner. Now am trying to catch up
with myself. Yes, health and fitness are very, very important, but living
and enjoying the other aspects of life is also very important.
It is great how we human beings are able to compartmentalize our
life. Yes I want to be healthy but I want someone to share it with.
Yes I want to live longer but I want someone relevant by my side.
I want more. I want more. I want more!
Do you want more? Because if you do let me tell you that
balance is the base for it all. It is not just this or just that,
it is “AND”. Yes a small word but an important one.
Here it is to us. The nuts that hope AND want for more.

If for just an instant God would forget that I am but a puppet of time and would bestow
upon me the gift of a chunk of life., I would use that time fully.
Probably, I wouldn’t say all that I think but I would definitely think about all that I say.
I would give value to things not because of what they are worth but because of what they mean.
I would sleep very little but I would dream more. I understand that for every minute we close our eyes
we lose sixty seconds of light.
I would walk while others stop, wake up while others still sleep.
If God would give me a chunk of life, I would dress modestly, lay face up to the sun uncovering
not just my body but also my soul.
To men I would show how wrong they are in thinking they stop falling in love when the grow old
without knowing that they grow old when they quit falling in love.
To a kid I would give wings but let him learn to fly on his own.
To old folks I would share that Death doesn’t arrive with old age but with abandonment.
So much I have learned from men.
I have learned that everyone wants to live a top the mountain not knowing that true happiness
comes in the challenge of the climb.
I have learned that when a newborn squeezes with his tiny hand his father’s finger
he is trapped forever.
I have learned that a man only has the right to look down on another man when he is
helping him stand up again.
It has been so many things I have learned from all of you but really it will not be of much
use because when I am placed in that big suitcase I will already be dying.
Try to say always what you feel and do always what you feel deep inside your heart.
If I knew that today would be the last time that I will see you sleep, I would embrace you tightly
and pray to God to allow me and be the guardian of your soul.
If I knew this would be the last minutes I would see you I would tell you ” I Love You”
And don’t assume foolishly that you knew already.
There is always another tomorrow and life gives us another chance to mend things.
But if I am wrong and today is all we have left I would like to tell you “I Love You and I will never forget you”.
Tomorrow is not assured to anyone, old, young. Today could be the last time you see those you love.
Because of that: Wait no more. Do it today because if tomorrow never comes you surely will lament
the day that you did not take the time for a smile, an embrace, a kiss, the day when you were so busy to grant one last wish.
Keep those you love close to you, tell them to their ear how much you need them. Love them and treat them well.
Take time to say “I am sorry”, “Forgive me”, “Please”, “Thanks” and all the loving words that you know.
No one will ever remember you for your secret noble thoughts. Ask God the strength and wisdom to express them.
finally, Show your friends and loved ones just how much they matter to you.
Why we do what we do?
I had to learn that while it was ok to continue to give to others and of my self., I had to find love to and for myself.
It is not an egotistical journey but an adventure of discovery and self-realization.
I celebrate a pound lost or a size reduced. I am happy for an inch and happy for an ounce.
I am happy to be doing better.
Celebrate you progress. Because I am sure you will agree that not going back is progress in and of it self.
Staying at the same weight for a long time is an issue but from one week to the next it just means that you were able to deal with cravings and temptations. Just Do Not Go Backwards.
OK gang today as always I wish you all the best of the best.

What we do we must do first and foremost for ourselves.
This is a competition within us. We are trying to be better than
we were yesterday. Yes the fruit of our work and efforts will result
in benefits for our family and loved ones but we must keep
in the words of the great Stephen Covey:
” We must keep the main thing., the main thing.”
With that in mind we move forward in creating the best
version of ourselves possible.
Stronger, healthier, better.

This is my Ferret. His name is “Beast”
Beast became ill. Beast is unable for the most part to procure food and water for himself even if it is placed in close proximity. I have to puree his food as he is unable to deal with it on his own.
He became ill very suddenly and it kills me to see him unable to move. I have a background in health care (human) and I try to keep him going. I do the range in motion with him. I give him baths as often as he allows. You see ferrets have a strong distinctive smell to them but are very peculiar and clean in their habits. I know that he does not like to be dirty. I am so glad that he has a true friend like me and NOT like those I thought were my friends. He would have been ignored and abandoned as soon as he became sick and unable to be as expected. Anyway I just wanted to introduce him to the world. You know he was the best hunter, Most playful, Good wrestler. A real catch. I hope he will get better. Please gang keep The Beast in your thoughts and I wish you all the fortune of having True and Real Friends.
This was a great deal for me. He lives by that towel but in months I have not seen him drink water on his own. He is so stinking cute.
I re post this to let you all know that The beast is now fully recovered and up to all his behaviours of the past. I love watching him run around and continue to be great. As I was playing with him today I came to tears of joy. If only our friends would always stand beside us. A coin, a bite, a word of support, a promise kept.
Never forget gang look for friends but start by being a true friend.

Weight loss is so much more than the way we look., it is also the way we feel and the way that we are perceived not just by others but by us as well.
We each have an idea an image of who we are and what we look like under the perfect circumstances but, we know that the perfect circumstances are seldom present.
Does that means that we settle or that we give up? No! it means that we continue to work at it and maintain the goal and the dream alive. We do this with our daily work and the image ever-present in our minds and hearts.
We fight with the tools and weapons that we each have at our disposal. We use the fork at the table and our legs in our walks. Exercise and diet. Patience and understanding. We use the knowledge that others have and so freely give to us by reading and acting on what other bloggers share.
I am so grateful to all of you that read what I write and the blogs that I follow. It reminds me that I am not alone and that in the end and in different ways we are not alone. We are all in this together.
I wish we could track the pounds that we are all loosing. Pound by pound we are making an ever-increasing dent on the mountain of pounds in front of us.
I thank you and wish all the success that our hard work deserves.
We are doing it.
Keep up the good work and throw yourself at it. Today. Tomorrow. Always.
We are not losers unless we quit. There are no losers here.

You. Me. Them.
We are all unique. And because of that, much thanks should be given.
A sea of sameness would be the ultimate boring trap.
It is our uniqueness that makes it nice and interesting.
I like it when I amicably compare myself to others, as it always ends up in laughter and at times some comedic fun.
I may not be as tall, or funny, or my hair as great compared to him/her.
Or my weight loss program, may be better than his but a joke compared to hers.
It is not only ok, but actually great to be different or unique.
However you wish to see it.
All I know is: I am happy with me.

It is incredible the impact that at times other people around us have in our life.
We can not choose our family but I tell you if someone from your family brings
you down it is time for you to choose just how much time you spend with him/her.
If you have a friend whom you love but is poisoning your efforts it is time for you to
love from a distance., a safe distance.
Many will say “I will help you” “I will support you” “I am here for you” and they will.,
until you actually need them. Then the diarrhea of excuses happens.
Choose the people around you. Your life, dreams and hopes are way too important.

Wanting what we love and loving what we want
is a sure way to improve in our Resilience.
We all know that life is imperfect and we know

how we want them to be for the most part.

that makes us better every day.

Because each of us is so different
we must figure out what works for us.
By not having a centered approach
we can miss out on the opportunity
to find the ONE thing that actually
could be a game changer.
I made it clear that my approach was
low carb, high protein, low sodium
and low-fat diet and the reason is
very simple to me: It Works For Me.
This was not about fancy advertisement
or a good-looking person on TV. I tried
many of the other diets and none of them
did it for me. This one did. NOW!! I am NOT
telling you to do the same but, what I am
telling you is that you should look and work on
finding the one that works for YOU.
I have purposely not used diet or product
names because I do not want you to assume
quality or efficiency on any of them. I want
for you to go and try so you can find on your own
the right one. POINTER It all starts with you.
Figure you out and you will win.
YOU are worth it so please stay with it.

The inherent imperfection of being human.
We hope too much, We love too much.
We expect too much, We want too much.
We give too much, We push too much.
And some times we and those around us
fall short of what is expected.
Maybe it is just me.
The reality is that we all must be
honest, realists, sensible specially when
it comes to planning our activities.
We must at all times keep the main thing

Seattle., One would be hard pressed to find a better
city to go for a walk. Hell just navigating the market
was a workout. I enjoy this city so much. there is
a lot to enjoy there. One thing that threw me off
was the fact that smoking regulations are very strict
but everywhere I turned there was people smoking
pot. No I Do Not Have A Problem With People Indulging
but they would give dirty looks to people trying to enjoy
a cigi. Go Figure.
The weather was so great and I enjoyed my walks
and took plenty of pictures that I shared at the time.
I did enjoy some good clam shower but it was not
the best by any measure. Now the ambiance, the
ambiance was so great. I can’t wait for the next trip

Some Christmas’s ago My mother passed on
Since them my favorite holiday of the year
has changed some. I am still happy and enjoy
the taste and smell and colors of Christmas
but the texture has changed.
Now I feel the harsh reality of the loss of my mother.
Now I feel the empty space she has left behind her.
I feel the cold void that her personality and attitude
left after her passing. Nothing can replace that.
I love christmas regardless but I miss my mother
terribly. Today as I bask on my memories I hurt and
find solace in the many memories and special
moments. She was not perfect…. She was just Mom.
Merry Christmas Feliz Navidad.

I want to introduce you to “Peter”
Peter is my ferret., he is also my one ferret
support and cheering group.
He is always there. When I pull the scale out
he climbs on it first as if asking me
“How are we doing today”
He then looks at me and gets off.
As some of you know I have been dealing
with health issues and Peter seems to
know when my pain is at it’s worst which
it’s often and he just lays there at my feet.
This little guy has shown me what loyalty
looks like. He makes no promises., he just
shows up.
He is my therapy on four legs.
I am grateful.

What are the characteristics of true change?
What is it that makes us from one day to
the other decide that we have had enough?
What is it that makes it possible to say:
No more, Never again.
For me it was a lengthy stay in the Hospital.
What did it for you? And,
If you have not had your epiphany yet think
What will it take.
I hope no one else has my experience of
looking up at several Doctors baffled about
my condition clearly not knowing what to do next.
Gang it is not easy but it is not complicated either.
It is Monday. Let’s get back to basics.
Drink the water, Measure your portions,
Increase your activity, Take your meds.
Go to the support groups, Take your vitamins.
Really it is easy to do but as Mr. Jim Rohn
would say:”what is easy to do is also easy not to do”
Be weird, let’s all be weird and let’s be doers.
Carpe Diem! or Carpe The Monday!
Let’s work today on a better tomorrow.

Morning Walk In Rocky Point, Mexico Photo By: Jose G. Osuna
The walk we take when we choose to follow
a wellness path is a lonely one but, it is a
worthy one. Look around you and see how many
of those close to you are fit, energetic and bringing
their A game.
I have recently moved and in my previous town
and at my last job I ever had I met a lot of people
who literally hated the city and their jobs yet
did nothing to change their circumstances.
I tried for months to have some join me at the gym
and sadly NOT A ONE DID.
I offered to mentor and share of my entrepreneurial
activities and offered to share of my real estate
experiences but again NOT A ONE TOOK A SERIOUS
INTEREST. As I said I have since moved and when I
go back to visit or for my doctors appointments
I still see the unhappy and the unsatisfied not doing
a thing to change their environment.
Gang as we push for more and better I believe it is
a good thing to try and bring some with us but I
do not think it is our job to DRAG anyone to better
health and better circumstances.
Keep your life, health and circumstances
front and center and continue your journey
to more and better.
Stay focus stay successful.
Jose G. Osuna
What does our life says about us?
What are we leaving behind?
How many are we helping?
Who’s life are we changing?
And yet again I say to you:
Life is about more than just loosing
the pounds. Life is about the impact
we can have on others.
Are we inspiring? Is there someone
out there making his life better
because of the example or effort
that we are putting in our life?
What does our life and decisions
say about you, me, us.
Gang. Live fully.
Stay focused stay successful.
Jose G. Osuna
Reality is that those things that are worth it
require work and commitment not to mention
consistency.
How bad do we want it?
How hard are we willing to work for it?
I want more and I want better how ’bout you.
If we want it we must remain focused
and then and only then we will become successful.
Jose G. Osuna
If we are lucky we have someone like that
taking an interest in us.
It does not always happen but every now
and then we get really lucky and it does happen.
If you do not have someone like that in your life
make sure to be that person for someone and
see the impact a true committed friend can have
on someone’s life.
Gang being present and active in the life of those
that matter to us is a way to love and serve.
Do not cut yourself short.
Stay focused stay successful
Jose G. Osuna
“Relationship” is not limited to only intimate, paternal, etc.,
Friendship is also a relationship. Friendship is also something
that needs to be nurtured, supported, encouraged.
When true friendship is present the need for words is
lessened or it should be. If a friend says I am thirsty do
we wait for them to say give me a glass of water? NO!
We reach out and give them a glass of water.
If a friend expresses a need or want and it is within our
power to help, assist or in someway aid we do it or at least
I would do it as I have done in the past.
We at times have expectations… Hopes I might call them.
But again I am reminded that the size of my frustrations
is equal to the size of my expectations.
Where I am going with this is that if we are able to help
and support someone let’s just do it.
If we can let’s make a difference because we do not
know at times how far a gesture can go.
We do not know how much of a need there is for a touch,
a coin or a piece of bread.
We do things for strangers; good things imagine what we
would do for our friends those we care for.
Jose G. Osuna
When we need a reality check for our weight loss efforts.
I used to think ” I only have lost 5 pounds” then I
had a chance to see this and I was so happy.
Gang as we look at this picture imagine carrying 5, 10, 15 and
even 20 or more pounds of fat and think of the
effect this has within our body in our joints, bones,
muscles and backs.
Every little bit we lose helps and makes a difference.
As if we needed another reason to lose the weight.
I both hate and love this picture. Yet it helps me
as it provides inspiration and reasons to remain focus.
Gang again I ask you to Remain Focused And Remain Successful.
Jose G. Osuna
Please share this post with anyone you think needs the inspiration.
Yes. It would be nice if we would feel motivated
but it is not necessary.
What we need to be is committed!
Few things will work as well as being committed.
The ability to see goals accomplished is noticed more
in people of commitments.
For those of us with WLS we have already shown that
we are committed so now we need to get off our
ass and go do it.
Easy? No… But very doable.
Gang let us get motivated, let’s get committed and
let’s do what we must and need to reach our goals.
Motivation It Does A Body Good.
Jose G. Osuna
It is not what we say but what we do that makes
a difference in life.
Many can talk up a storm but are unable to get out of bed
to go for a walk. Others even when given a free gym
membership are unable to do something for their health
and well being.
Nothing we can do to change others perspective and
inability to work on affecting change in their health and life.
So what do we do you ask…. Well….. We let them be.
And go straight to the gym or for our walk or for whatever it is
that we are working on to keep us healthy and strong.
Let people enjoy their choices and lets allow ourselves to
enjoy ours. We do not say “I have to work out” no what we
say is: “I get to work out” Big difference specially when
fully and totally committed to a new way of living.
Gang Stay Focus Stay Successful.
Jose G. Osuna
Share the love Facebook would love to hear from you.
I find myself nostalgic and missing my home
in Mexico. This picture was taken there
a while back., sitting on the balcony.
I am not there right now. Wish I was.
I went for my walk today and for the first time
I required a jacket. A sure sign that I will
need to be mindful about food as we approach
the season of the year when many of us do
the most damage to our plans and goals.
Gang. Our journey is not one where we have to
deny ourselves of everything we love to eat.
We must however start with a plan and a clear
and honest idea of what is going to happen.
I will on one day have mashed potatoes. I know this
and I know what day that will be. So before I sit
at that table I will force my self to drink two (2)
glasses of water and then and only then I will
confront the potatoes.
I have a plan. Maybe dumb and silly for some
but this will work for me.
During the season I will eat pumpkin pie, turkey,
gravy, etc. And I will enjoy it.. A Lot.
I miss Rocky Point, Mexico So Very Much.

Gang., please share the love and post this
on your preferred social media channel below.
OK. As I told you all my weight loss program
is working well and, while I have lots of training
and education in cooking and nutrition I have
to admit here that the main reason my success has
been these consistent and sustainable has been by far
the constant presence of my coach.
While our agreement was geared towards health
and weight loss we had to make some changes
to reflect the new scope we were heading towards.
I like to share and even though I have written a lot
I do not fancy myself a writer., even so I have been
published and have continued to work on my writing
specially in the field of cooking.
As my coach has been evaluating my progress she has
as kept track of my time utilization and project planning
that has given her a big picture of what I am up to and
what are some of my plans, ideas and goals.
Here would be a good place for me to tell you all that
I have not been employed since August the 31st 2011.
I call myself an entrepreneur and it has been
through Coaching and Real Estate that I have been
making a living.
My dream and phantom goal has been to dedicate more
time to my writing and it is here where my coach has
provided me with the “External View” and has help me
to find the time and inspiration to go after my goal.
I am at this point not only blogging daily but I am also
writing no less than 600 words per day Monday to Saturday
with a projected new book every month.
And, by the first day of next month I will up it to no less
than 1000 words per day with a projected two (2) books
per month. Very aggressive goals but that is what
happens when you obtain the help and guidance
needed to accomplish clear goals.
Gang. Where are you with your Goals and Dreams?
I am a coach and would love and opportunity to
be part of your success. I would do a very reduced
price series for anyone that approaches me from
our tribe here on word press.
I have been doing career and job coaching for
many years and I would gladly refer you to my
health and weight management coach should
you want some of the same results I am getting.
As always gang I wish you all the success you deserve
and I am here should you have any questions.
