up in the Arizona mountains. NE of
Phoenix. I know that my mind was
heavy with issues and this trip help
me get some perspective.
Things will happen and how we react
will have a huge impact on everything.
I know my reactions have affected my
health, emotional stability, stress levels,
and so much more that I, and you should
know better but it don’t always works that way.
I guess what I am trying to tell you gang
is that in order to protect ourselves and
so be able to be the best we can be,
we must “kind of” stop every now and then.
Think before reacting. And yes some times

Has it happen to you?
As you cruise down the road of life
feeling that you have it all under control
when suddenly Whamooo there is life
throwing you a curveball.
It happens when we suddenly look at
the number on the scale and we get
a bit of a reality check. OR
when we look at our bank balance only
to find that we have way too much month
at the end of the money. Anyway.
Surprises are just a breath away so we
must prepare in as much as we can for
those moments and take the teeth out
of their bite. NO we can not stop them
but we can prepare ourselves for them.
I do not know you personally but this I
can tall you about you:
You know what your situation is and
you know what your needs and wants are.
You know what your strengths are and also
your weakness so Deal With It. Deal With You.

The weight loss race is a lonely one.
In the end it is just me, my self and I making the decisions of what and how much to eat.
It is just me, my self and I making sure the goal is ever-present. Me, myself and I arguing over are we or are we not going for our walk today, me, myself and I fighting over are we working out or not.
It sounds as if this was all we ever thought of but it is more what we do all day long that keeps reminding us of the goal. When we have to walk for any distance and we are winded. When we try to play with our kids and we lack the strength or stamina. When our work requires us to fly places and we face the 1 inch by 1 inch seat in the plane. When we look at the assortment of pills we have to take every day. It is all of those things that keep our goal constantly present in our days.
It is a desire and the hope for a better tomorrow that motivates us.
It is that form of self-love that gives us the strength to try again and again.
Sometimes the people around us do not see the why and lovingly share their thoughts and concerns and we just want to lovingly put their heads under water for just a couple of days.
Yes it was a joke but see how you smiled? That is the approach we need to take to the negative comments. The inconsiderate looks and stares. Laugh it off and keep on keepin’ on.
Keep winning the little battles. The battles with the fork, the battles with the bed in the early morning, the screaming matches with the bathroom scale, and the cold war with the mirror.
Keep winning the little battles and eventually you will reach your goal and win the war.
Let’s love ourselves more. Let’s support ourselves more. Let’s believe in us more.

When the day has come to an end we get the chance
to ask ourselves “Did I Do All I Could Have??”
Did I made this day, week, month count?
Our answer to this very basic question will undoubtedly
give us a rather close look at what life will be and do
for us all. We are the masters of our destiny and
the daily building of our life is largely affected by those
small and seemingly unimportant or inconsequential
little choices, little decisions.
The phrase “Digging your grave with your
knife and fork” comes to mind.
This blog and most of what we talk about here
is about weight loss so we really should keep
ever-present the impact of our decisions.
We need to know and keep present that it matters,
that it all matters when it comes to our lives and
dreams and goals.
Keep fighting the good fight and eventually success
will knock at our door.

I took this picture while on a trip to Barbados.
I have traveled to every state in the USA and every state
in my country of Mexico with visits to Central America
and up and down the Caribbean. I am yet to find a place that
I connected to as I did with Barbados. The minutes and seconds
I spent there were perfect. This is the one place that
almost every day I think of and would want to go there
more than anywhere else in the world.
I just loved it there. Had great company and the weather
was amazing. The food was amazing. It was amazing.
I hope you are ready to start your new year and that you
have included in your goals some travel.
It is not about far or exotic but about new and
exciting. Gang go do it and enjoy your days and your
meals. Life is worth it. Now go live it.

that we are about to hit November 1st. and for some
of us that means that NaNoWriMo is about to start.
Nanowrimo is a contest/community/challenge
for writing and aspiring writers to bring out and
create new materials.
If you fancy yourself a writer and just to clear I do not
think of me as a writer. Actually my English is not really
that good being that Spanish is my native language.
Gang Nanowrimo is a great opportunity for anyone who
has a writing itch that needs to be scratched.

So True!!
But they are the first ones to bring up the
failures and mistakes carefully leaving out
how they were never of help or assistance.
They were there they were just not there
for us.
It is ok. That did not and, does not keep us
in the hole. The hole of being broke, overweight,
sick, alone.
I just love the face of disgust as the haters see
us doing better. So great to piss them off
as they have to be there and see us be what
we all along knew we could be. Just an extra
fringe benefit since we did and continue to
do things for us and not for them.
Gang go out there and kill it every day.
make every day count and when you are
tired and ready to go home…. Do another set
as you think of the haters that will get a
belly ache when they see you next time.
