while life is not easy it does not

Put your priorities straight and

attack with a plan.

You want to know how simple

loosing weight is??? Well here it is:

eat less but better quality foods.

Drink at a minimum 8 glasses of water.

Increase your activity by at least 50%.

Sleep no less than 8 hours.

Did you notice that I said simple and not easy

when talking about weight loss??

That is because we have so many habits

ingrained in our minds and that is the part

that I find to be the most difficult.

Specially the not eating of delicious processed

and fast food items. Drinking a gigantor soda.

smoking, not sleeping enough, etc, etc.,

You know the drill. Both you and me have the

same monster to contend with.

So the question is:

Are we worth it and can we make a committment?

Can’t answer for you but I sure am working on it.

Gang make a difference for you and yours and

take the plunge of health and a better life.

Yes there comes a time when we must

just stop with excuses and justifications

and we must just do it.

Whatever “IT” is we must just  jump in

take action and make it happen.

Some of us are working on weight loss

others on writing the great American Novel

others are trying to change careers or at least

get out of the one they are in.

Whatever keeps you from falling asleep

whatever is robbing you of your peace you

just need to make a decision and attack it.

Gang no one can do the push ups for us.

No one can make the decisions or keep to

a diet for us so if it is to be is up to me.

Make it good, make it better and go make

something good happen.

follow that dream

Dreams and goals are the fuel that

makes life and living great.

Having them However, is not enough.

Following them!! Chasing them!!

Now that is where the good stuff is.

Anybody can fluff in the air  BUT

but it takes somebody special to catch

and then hold on to those dreams and

all important goals.

Get after them gang.  Set them goals and

then break them into a thousand pieces.

Funny how people

The moment that someone decides to stand outside

of the circle there is always someone to try and drag him

or her right back in.

I have noticed that with weight loss is even worst than

with money or even relationships.

People do not take kindly of friends loosing the pounds.

The first criticism comes as a direct attack of your diet

which ever diet it happens to be.

Then if you dare have any success get ready for the

attack on your appearance. It seems like immediately after

you loose a pound or two you become the living image

of the walking dead or at least that is what folks will tell you.

Remain focus and centered and keep doing what you must

to get to your desired goal.

It is not for them., it is for you.

Adding Activity

Spend the day walking through the

maze that is below decks and you got

yourself a workout.

So much to see and so much to do

and the thing is that all of this does not

have to interfere with our daily routine,

Park a little bit farther at the mall.

Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Walk a little bit faster and if you are

going on an outing where maybe you will

not find healthy or adequate food and

snack choices well pack a meal or a snack

or whatever will keep you going.

My secret stash in my camera bag is:

Roasted peanuts, Raw almonds, and beef

jerky. On a day long outing I throw a couple

of low carb shakes and maybe a couple of

hard-boiled eggs in the ice chest.

All of this are simple, easy things to do.

There are little things that BUG me.

And if something has an impact on me

it can affect other things.

The word exercise is one of those things

that BUG me so I avoid it. I can easily

go out for walks and I can easily get

involved in some activity but I seldom can

go out to exercise.

Triggers, little triggers that mess with us.

If you know that there is something,

anything that will keep you from your

plans and goals avoid them, be it a pest

of a neighbor or the wrong color shoes

or even a little word….. Just avoid them.

Look for the things that ignite your passion

and  light the fire under your feet.

Look at the picture and think as I did:
