Keep the basics in mind every day

measure your portions, drink the water,

increase the activity, plan your exercise.

The Why Of Commitment.

All we have is us. Really., When we are on our walk or run, when we are in the middle of our workout and when we are planning our meals we are by ourselves.  Then again we do have

Then again we do have “something” that should stay with us as we go through this and all the steps of our journey. Our Goals, Our Dreams. Our Hopes. That is what creates the voice that gets us out of bed. That is the strength to continue and keep on keeping on.

My Challenge.

new lap band picAs some of you know I have been dealing with a dislodged

band for quite a bit of time.

I have tried to work around the challenge that this is but I know

that having the ability to eat with out the limiting that the band

provides has been key to my weight re-gain.

Part of my process now is to go back to eating the smaller

portions as the program delineates but it is here where I can feel

the difference that the band makes. A portion that would have made

me feel full with the band properly attached does not have the same

effect without it. I end up feeling hungry and not satisfied wanting

more to eat.

This post is just to advise you that not following the guidelines can

create a situation where you lose all the benefits of the band.

That extra portion or those carbonated beverages are just not

worth it. I know I am living with it.

Goals The Pathway For a Better Tomorrow.

Goals. When do you work on your yearly goals? There is no wrong answer for this UNLESS you don't write your yearly goals. Everyone has a different way or process to develop and evaluate your plans and goals.  I now am trying a new approach and it is to have my goals for the next year ready by the 15th of November well before the busy days of the holidays and end of year.
