A Walk.

Where have your walks taken you?

Walking is one of my favorite activities,

I enjoy taking off and then see where I end up.

This particular walk started at the touristic

malecon in Puerto Penasco, Mexico, it ended

Way the hell two colonias/neighborhoods away.

The point for me is, ten thousand steps a day

is where I like to start., from there we shall see.

My diet, my life, my work, and most everything

else seems to work better when I daily take my

long walks.

The messed up part is that at times I go long times

not taking them, and I should do better since I do

know better than that.

Gang. Whatever it is that makes things work for you

please be good to yourself and: Do It.

Add Some Living.

No Clue what you did this weekend, but

I hope you did something worth talking about.

Do not forget that while we are working on

loosing weight and getting healthier, there is a big

amazing world out there, and that we have a life to live.

The purpose of being healthier, and lighter, and stronger

is so we can live longer, better lives. Wile working for

that goal do not forget to do some living.

It is Monday. Start planning some living.

Dare, dare to step outside.

 

IMG_1138What will we discover when we step

out of the common, comfortable, familiar?

I have found that interesting things, places,

and people are found all around us when we

pay attention and dare step out.

We are past the first half of the year;

I hope your goals and plans are on track,

I hope that as you work through the process

of losing the weight, and making for a healthier

life, don’t waste the opportunity to enjoy, and live,

live fully. Step out of the comfort and the familiar.

Take a risk and go find something new, something

different and interesting., if it is new it will be worth it.

Stay focus remain successful.

Every Now And Then.

IMG_1102While I am all for going forth and taking

any and all the necessary extra steps, I also

believe that we should take any breaks and stops

needed for us to remain sane and centered.

To be successful full effort and commitment

should be put forth but attention should be paid

so we do not destroy by over-doing.

Take a break every now and then.

Go somewhere and enjoy something.

To me there is no better place than the beach,

and no better time than sunset. Talk about a magic

cleansing moment. Perspective I guess.

Gang figure out what works for you and

and use it for your growth.

I went for a long walk in Yuma, AZ.

This is the Colorado River, and at the end

of that bridge is California.

What a great day that was.

So great that keeping our exercise

commitments can also reward us by

taking us to great places and get us in touch

not just with our selves, but also with nature

and other kindred spirits.

Keeping our commitments makes us stronger

physically and also in character.

Gang, keep your word always to others but

specially to your self.

Push hard for those that depend on you but

push harder for yourself.

Make a difference for others but specially

make a difference for yourself.

Stay focus and remain successful.

A Little Help Please.

Here you can see him exploring the

ocean and the beach in Rocky Point, Mexico.

He is the oldest of our ferrets, and he has

fallen ill. This has affected our whole family,

and as we have done before with one other

of our ferrets, we are taking as much care

of him as we can.

I would like to ask of you to please send

good thoughts, prayers and good energy

his way. Our whole family would be most

grateful.  Thanks.

On Goals, Dreams, and Miles.

Come And Enjoy The Water!

Recently we have talked about goal setting.

Have you added some travel to your goals??

In our planning calendar I have been told

there is a cruise to Mexico. There is a trip

to Texas (Austin for some big to do SXSW)

Hell I would have gone for the BBQ at Franklin

BBQ and would have enjoyed waiting in line.

Also the possibility of spending some time

in Seattle (Comme to Papa Clam Chowder)

I am looking forward to many great walks

and maybe a few good pictures. The one that

I am featuring on this blog was taken at

Little Corona in Corona Del Mar, CA

One of the most amazing places I have

been to.

I guess what I am trying to say is: Get after it

Yes we want to lose the weight but we have

a life to live as well.

Gang I hope your plans and goals are solid

and important enough for you to have put

them on paper and ever-present.
